The Camrose Kodiaks players were out and about in the community on Saturday afternoon, December 3rd. The players were proud to contribute to the annual Charity Checkstop to support some great local causes!
The team braved the cold weather and snowy conditions to lend a hand to the Charity Checkstop which happens each December in Camrose, right in time for the Christmas season.
Vehicles that come through the checkstop usually drop off a donation in the form of cash donations, toy donations, or non-perishable food item donations.
The Kodiaks players assisted with the checkstop by greeting vehicles as they pass by, and helping to collect and carry the donations of food and toys to the nearby trailers where they are stored and then eventually transported.
The checkstop is in support of Camrose and District Victim Services, the Silent Santa project through the Camrose Kinette Club, and the Camrose Food Bank.
The Camrose Kodiaks, along with 98.1 Cam FM, the Camrose Police Service, and the Camrose RCMP are some of the groups that are proud to partner in this great initiative.
