Kodiaks In The Community - Minor Hockey

The Camrose Kodiaks players were out and about in the community on Friday afternoon, November 4th. Six Kodiaks players tied up their skates and provided on-ice assistance for a couple of local novice minor hockey teams!

The novice Leafs and novice Lightning minor hockey teams in Camrose had more than just their regular coaches tying up skates, and running drills for the players when they went to practice after school on this day. The Camrose Kodiaks players were the ones who were also lending a helping hand!

Helping to fill up water bottles and teaching kids cross over turns is a part of the Kodiaks commitment to minor hockey. A commitment that extends from Tim Bit Initiation hockey, through the novice, the atom, and the pee wee levels. The Kodiaks also take alot of pride in their support and encouragement of the local bantam and midget hockey teams, as well as the numerous girls hockey teams that play in Camrose and the surrounding area.

Other examples of the Kodiaks giving back to minor hockey can be seen during the intermissions of Camrose Kodiaks regular season hockey games, where the Tim Bits often showcase their skills for the fans in the EnCana Arena. A showcase that brings smiles to alot of fans in the building too!

The Kodiaks are very proud to assist minor hockey in Camrose, and to assist minor hockey in numerous rural Alberta towns. All Kodiaks players were once minor hockey players themselves, and they are proud to be leaders in the eyes of today's youth.
