KARL STOLLERY

MERRIMACK

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 19-year-old defenseman Karl Stollery (Armena, AB) has committed to attend Merrimack College (Hockey East). Karl is currently in his second season with the Kodiaks.

Karl has played 20 games this season and currently leads Kodiak defensemen in scoring with 6 goals and 10 assists. He will be joining current team mate Chris Barton (87) in the Warrior’s uniform.

The Kodiaks would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Karl and his family on this achievement. We wish him the best of luck in his future academic and athletic endeavors.

MIKE CONNOLLY

MINNESOTA DULUTH

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 17-year-old forward Mike Connolly (Calgary, AB) has committed to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth (Western Collegiate Hockey Association) for the 2008 season.

Mike is currently in his first season with the Kodiaks and was a member of the 2007 AJHL South Division All Star Team. In 47 games this season, Mike has accumulated 18 goals and 30 assists for 48 points. Mike will be joining current teammate Evan Oberg for the 2008 season, as well as several Kodiak alumni including MacGregor Sharp, Mason Raymond and Logan Gorsalitz.

The entire Kodiaks organization would like to congratulate Mike and his family and wish him continued success with his academic and athletic endeavors.

JOE COLBORNE

DENVER

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 17-year-old forward Joe Colborne (Calgary, Alberta) has committed to attend the University of Denver (Western Collegiate Hockey Association) for the 2008 season.
 
Joe is currently in his second season with the Kodiaks. Last year he played in 53 games and accumulated 20 goals and 28 assists. He was also instrumental in helping the Kodiaks win the A.J.H.L. title as well as the Doyle Cup. Joe recently participated in the Canadian National Men's Under-18 camp where he was one of only two Junior A players invited to attend. He was also recently named to the roster of Team Canada West for the World Junior A Challenge in Trail and Nelson, BC from November 5-11, 2007.

The Kodiaks would like to congratulate Joe and his family. We know that Joe's hard work and dedication have certainly paid off and we wish him continued success in his future academic and athletic pursuits. We know Joe will make a great addition to the Denver Pioneers family.

ALLEN YORK

RPI

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 18-year-old goalie Allen York (Wetaskiwin, AB) has committed to attend RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), which plays in the ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference).
 
Allen is currently in his second season with the Kodiaks and was a member of the South Division Top Prospects Team in the 06/07 season. He also backstopped the Kodiaks to the semi finals of the 2007 Royal Bank Cup where they lost in a 5-overtime thriller. Allen was subsequently drafted in the 6th round (158th pick) by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He was also recently named to the roster of Team Canada West for the World Junior A Challenge in Trail and Nelson, BC from November 5-11, 2007.

The Kodiaks would like to congratulate Allen and his family. We are extremely proud of Allen and his accomplishments, and look forward to his continued contribution to our program in preparation for what is sure to be a very successful collegiate career with the RPI Engineers.

SHAWN OSTROW

DENVER

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 17-year-old forward Shawn Ostrow (Calgary, Alberta) has committed to attend the University of Denver (Western Collegiate Hockey Association) for the 2009 season.

Shawn is currently in his first season with the Kodiaks. He is fourth in team scoring as a rookie and has adapted very quickly to the AJHL game. Shawn will be joining former Kodiak Jon Cook, present teammate Joe Colborne, and his older brother Kyle on the Pioneer’s roster for the 2009 season.

The Kodiaks would like to congratulate Shawn and his family. We are extremely proud of Shawn and his accomplishments, and look forward to his continued contribution to our program in preparation for what is sure to be a very successful collegiate career with the University of Denver Pioneers.

ANDREW MACWILLIAM

NORTH DAKOTA

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 17-year-old defenseman Andrew MacWilliam (Calgary, AB) has committed to attend the University of North Dakota of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Andrew becomes the first Kodiak to become a member of the Fighting Sioux.

Andrew is currently in his first season with the Kodiaks and he has already begun to accumulate an impressive hockey resume. He was a member of Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in Trail and Nelson, British Columbia in November, where he won a Gold Medal. He was a member of Team West at the CJAHL Prospects Game in Winkler, Manitoba in December, and he recently represented the South Division at the AJHL All Star game in Grand Prairie.

The entire Kodiak’s organization would like to congratulate Andrew and his family and wish him continued success with his academic and athletic endeavors.

COLIN DUECK

YALE

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 18-year-old defenseman Colin Dueck (Calgary, AB) has committed to attend Yale University (Eastern College Athletic Conference) for the 2009 season.

Colin is currently in his first season with the Kodiaks. After 46 games, Colin has accumulated 4 goals and 9 assists as well as a +17 rating. Colin will be joining former Kodiak Ryan Donald on the Bulldog’s blueline.

The Kodiaks would like to congratulate Colin and his family. Not only has Colin worked extremely hard on his hockey skills, but his academic excellence has also allowed him to attend one of the finest schools in the world. We know Colin will be a great addition to the Yale Bulldogs.

MERRIMACK

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 20-year-old forward Jesse Todd (Calgary, AB) has committed to attend Merrimack College (Hockey East) for the 2008 season.

Jesse is currently in his third season with the Kodiaks. Jesse has played in all 62 regular season games this season and accumulated 35 goals and 35 assists. His 35 goals rank him 4th in the Alberta Junior Hockey League in scoring. Jesse will be joining current teammate Karl Stollery and former teammate Chris Barton on the Warriors. The Kodiaks would like to congratulate Jesse and his family.

We are extremely proud of Jesse and his accomplishments, and look forward to his continued contribution to our program in preparation for what is sure to be a very successful collegiate career with the Merrimack Warriors.

OWEN CHATWIN

MANHATTANVILLE

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased
to announce that 20-year-old
forward Owen Chatwin (St. Albert,
AB) has committed to attend Manhattanville College (ECAC West)
for the 2008-2009 season.

Owen played 3 seasons for the
Kodiaks. His work ethic and effort
allowed him to contribute in all
situations on the ice. He quickly
became a fan favorite and he
finished off his career in Camrose
as the captain of the Kodiaks. His
presence on and off the ice will be
sorely missed.

The Kodiaks would like to
congratulate Owen and his family.
We know that Owen’s hard work and
dedication have certainly paid off,
and we wish him continued success
as he goes to the Big Apple to
begin his collegiate career with the
Valiants.

DEAN PETIOT

BOWLING GREEN

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased
to announce that 20-year-old
defenseman Dean Petiot
(Daysland, AB) has committed to
attend Bowling Green State
University (CC HA) for the
2008-2009 season.

In his third season with the
Kodiaks, the hard-hitting
defenseman played in 57 games
and finished with 21 points and 205
minutes in penalties. The veteran
rearguard also anchored the
defense throughout the AJHL
playoffs as well as the Doyle Cup
and Royal Bank Cup.

The Kodiaks would like to
congratulate Dean and his family.
We are extremely proud of him
and his accomplishments, and look
forward to following his development at the next level.
We wish Dean all the best as he
embarks on what is sure to be a
very successful collegiate career
with the Bowling Green Falcons.
